SGH also facilitates foreign exchange and fixed income trade execution for clients through its partnership with Arbor Research and Trading, an independent institutional broker/dealer with offices in the US, UK and Switzerland.

SGH was founded in 2009 by Sassan Ghahramani, formerly President and CEO of Medley Global Advisors, a macro policy intelligence provider to hedge funds and money managers, senior foreign exchange trader for Lehman Brothers, AIG Trading, and Chemical Bank, and head of FX trading for Union Bank of Switzerland in New York. Ghahramani was born in Iran and lived in Russia, Canada and Spain before moving to the United States.
